How should society decide who gets a liver transplant? Should there be marketplaces for data in the near future and how should these markets be run? If a driverless car kills someone, who is at fault? And how can randomness help optimize algorithms used in machine learning?

These questions and others, from the highly technical to the broadly applicable, were discussed at the inaugural Princeton Day of Optimization, a day-long conference on Friday, Sept. 28.

  • Biomedical data science research to be featured at industry engagement day

    Monday, Oct 16, 2017

On October 25, representatives from industry, the Simons Foundation, BioNJ, Rutgers and Princeton University—all stakeholders in the advancement of biomedical data science--will gather on campus to explore common research interests and consider formation of a regional biomedical data science community.

  • Biomedical Data Science Industry Day 2017

This Princeton University Industry Engagement Day invites biomedical and pharma R&D executives to campus to explore cutting edge research and develop new relationships between Princeton researchers and industry.
