Princeton and Cisco to co-host university-industry conference on West Coast

Monday, Oct 16, 2017

Princeton University and Cisco will co-host the Spring 2018 meeting of the University Industry Demonstration Partnership. The event will be held from April16-19, 2018 at Cisco's facility in San Jose, CA. Princeton's Office of Corporate Engagement and Foundation Relations is leading the effort for Princeton.

UIDP is dedicated to improving the quality of academic and industry relationships by developing new approaches for collaborations. Cisco and Princeton stepped up to host this year’s meeting in Silicon Valley in order to put the focus on how companies in the technology sector can work with universities on research and innovation.

The week-long conference is also an opportunity for Princeton to bring attention to its existing collaborations with industry on the West Coast, as well as to the University's considerable efforts to develop new relationships.

Attendees at UIDP events hail from both industry and universities. Programming will include topics such as cybersecurity and data privacy; the Internet of Things; women in technology; VC and start-up funding; and connected education. Among the Princeton faculty presenting at the meeting will be Ed Felten and Jen Rexford.
