Few animals specialize as thoroughly as the mosquitoes that carry diseases like Zika, malaria and dengue fever.

Hurricane Sandy sent a clear message on climate change, Tammy Snyder Murphy, the first lady of New Jersey, told the audience in her keynote speech at a Princeton climate conference Friday, Sept. 21.

“We’re not looking at Sandy as just some part of our history, but something that we know will happen again unless we take action,” said Murphy, who plays a key role in the governor’s administration on climate and environmental policy. “We are accepting the challenge that climate change has presented. We are committed to making this state the magnet for innovative solutions.”

The University-Industry Demonstration Partnership, an organization dedicated to strengthening corporate relationships with academia, recently produced a video on the nuts-and-bolts of Princeton's long time relationship with Siemens. CEFR's Spencer Reynolds and Arturo Pizano of Siemens are featured.

With a ribbon-cutting, speeches and tour of its extensive laboratory space, the formal opening of the new high-tech Princeton Innovation Center BioLabs incubator was celebrated Thursday, May 17.

A crowd of more than 100 representatives from Princeton University, the town of Plainsboro, local industries and the center's first tenant companies attended the event at the Forrestal Center in Plainsboro.
