  • Provost Prentice honored in 2022 ROI-NJ Influencers: Women in Business list

    Deborah Prentice, provost of Princeton University and the Alexander Stewart 1886 Professor of Psychology and Public Affairs, has been honored in ROI-NJ’s ROI Influencers: Women in Business 2022 list. According to ROI-NJ, the Women in Business list was compiled to prove that New Jersey is “overflowing with qualified female leaders who are ready, willing and eager” to serve in top leadership roles.

    As provost, Prentice has been a leader in the University’s research partnership and innovation efforts.

    Mention fusion energy, and people around here will think of the breakthroughs happening at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) in fusing — combining — the nuclei of hydrogen isotopes. But there are other kinds of fusion power, including one long shot that just got a big boost from the Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E).

  • Hultmark team honored at 42nd Annual Edison Patent Awards

    Marcus Hultmark, associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, and his colleagues Clayton Byers, Yuyang Fan and Matthew Fu, received a 2021 Edison Patent Award from the Research and Development Council of New Jersey (RDNJ). The Council presented thirteen awards to New Jersey inventors and companies to honor the year’s best patented innovations.
